- within 5 years of completing their PhD?
- a young faculty (or research) member at an ARUA university (female postdoctoral fellows will be considered)?
- no more than 35 years old at the time of applying?
- willing to develop a strong international standing and research reputation?
- available to spend 6 months away from your home university and be able to return to your home institution?

Work with Professor Jen Snowball at Rhodes University on the following topics: work and labour markets in creative industrie, international trade in cultural goods and services, and technology and innovation in the creative industries in Africa
Work with Dr. Anthony Tibaingana at Makerere University on integrating refugees into creative economic activities.
Work with Dr Onyekaba Cornelius (Associate Prof) at the University of Lagos on Nigerian film, Theatre Arts, carnival and festival studies.
Work with Prof Stella Viljoen at the Department of Visual Arts at Stellenbosch University on gendered or classed readings of art and popular media
Be hosted by Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria) in the field of Fine and Applied Art, Drama and Performing Art, Music and Animation in Computer Science. There is also a department of Creative Art and an Institute of Cultural Arts.
